  Coordinate and manage nursing services across clinical departments in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Managers and senior nursing management.

  Support the effective allocation and deployment of nursing staff based on patient acuity, staffing requirements and service needs.
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring compliance with NMBI standards, hospital policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor staffing levels, rosters, skill mix and workforce requirements to maintain safe staffing across the hospital.
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Act as a senior point of contact for nursing staff, patients, multidisciplinary teams and hospital management.
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Support the management of clinical incidents, complaints, risk assessments and patient safety issues, ensuring appropriate escalation and follow-up.
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Promote clinical governance, quality improvement, audit and evidence-based nursing practice throughout the organisation.
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor and support compliance with HIQA standards, infection prevention and control requirements, medication management policies and other applicable healthcare regulations.
  
  
  
  
  

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership and communication skills
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Essential experience in acute care management
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  BSc in Nursing or equivalent degree essential
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Management qualification desirable
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Proven experience in change management, resource management, conflict resolution, quality and safety management, problem-solving and operational planning
  
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Strong computer and IT skills essential
