We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager II â Surgical Ward for a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Provide clinical leadership and ensure high standards of nursing care for complex surgical patients.
Oversee day\-to\-day ward operations and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
Support safe pre\- and post\-operative management of patients undergoing major abdominal, liver, pancreatic, and bowel surgeries.
Ensure timely assessment, monitoring, and escalation of patients with complex surgical needs.
Promote evidence\-based practice and adherence to hospital and national clinical guidelines.
Mentor, supervise, and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Manage staffing levels, delegation, and skill mix to ensure safe patient care.
Lead on quality improvement initiatives, audits, and risk management activities.
Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, medication safety, and patient safety standards
Registered on the General Division of the NMBI Register (essential).
Minimum 5 yearsâ post\-registration experience in an acute setting (essential).
Recognised qualification or relevant experience within the surgical speciality (desirable).
Knowledge and experience in a Surgical Ward, specialising in the care of patients undergoing Liver, Pancreatic, Bowel, and Complex Abdominal Surgeries (essential).â
Minimum 1 year of management experience (desirable).
Completion of a management training programme (desirable).
Demonstrated clinical expertise and strong professional ability.
Strong IT skills with proficiency in relevant clinical and administrative applications.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to positively engage with patients, families, and staff.
Enthusiastic, self\-motivated, and committed to delivering high\-quality patient care.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with staff at all organisational levels.
