Overview
The Commission Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the recovery of commissions from hotel partners and chains. The role combines proactive communication, data accuracy, and process improvement to ensure timely collection, proper reconciliation, and continuous collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Commission Collections
Monitor and manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely commission collection.
Contact partners via phone and email to follow up on outstanding payments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities and partner communications.
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives in commission tracking.
Commission Chain Collections
Manage commission recovery for a set of assigned hotel chains.
Collaborate closely with the Accounts Department to streamline chain-level collection processes.
Liaise with hotel partners to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain detailed records of commission agreements, payment schedules, and correspondence in Salesforce.
Escalation & Issue Resolution
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or disputes.
Work with internal teams to verify booking data and commission eligibility.
Escalate overdue accounts and recommend appropriate follow-up actions.
Additional Supply Support Functions
Rate Loading
Enter negotiated rates, discounts, and pricing structures into booking platforms.
Verify rate accuracy against contracts or supplier communications.
Update rate information in line with seasonal changes, promotions, or supplier revisions.
Ad Hoc Data Entry
Input data to support operational requirements or reporting.
Assist with manual data updates and one-off tasks requested by the Supply or Finance teams.
