Job Description - Commercial Pricing Analyst

A leading organisation within the energy and fuels sector is seeking a Commercial Pricing Analyst to join their commercial team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to influence pricing strategy, drive margin optimisation, and provide data -driven insights that directly impact business performance.

Working cross -functionally with commercial, finance, retail, and operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring competitive pricing and supporting strategic decision -making.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage pricing models across retail, commercial, and contract channels to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for margin optimisation.
Produce regular reporting on sales, margin performance, and market positioning to support business decisions.
Support the development of commercial proposals and pricing strategies through robust data analysis and insight.

Requirements:

Strong analytical and numerical skills, with advanced Excel capabilities and experience handling large data sets.
Proven experience in pricing, commercial analysis, or financial modelling within a fast -paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

This role would suit candidates coming from commercial analysis, pricing, finance, or data analytics backgrounds, particularly within industries such as energy, retail, FMCG, or commodities.
