We’re Hiring – Full-Time Commis Chef

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our culinary team at The Links Restaurant, a modern restaurant with a bar open to both the public and golfers — the perfect place to enjoy great food after a round on our links.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their professional kitchen career or looking to build on existing experience. You’ll work alongside experienced chefs, gaining valuable skills and training in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in preparing and cooking menu items


• Learn and develop skills in different kitchen sections


• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation


• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards


• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare basic ingredients


• Support the team in setting up and closing down the kitchen


• Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in line with HACCP and hygiene standards


• Assist with stock rotation and reporting shortages

Requirements

• Some experience in a professional kitchen is an advantage but not essential


• Passion for cooking and a willingness to learn


• Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude


• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays


• HACCP or food safety training is an advantage (can be provided)
