Construction Company, Cavan Our client is a long established indigenous construction business, experiencing a period of growth. Based in Cavan, they manage specialist construction projects across Ireland. They have a vacancy for a Company Accountant to manage their Finance function.
Company Accountant Reporting to the Managing Director the role will involve the following:
- Managing the day-to-day finance function
- Preparation of monthly accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet)
- Monthly KPI reports on project progress, Cashflow and debtors
- Payroll preparation
- Support with sales invoicing, debtors and Accounts payable
- Preparation of accounts payable payments run
- Monthly Journals & Control accounts
- Ownership of ROS and ensuring the organisation is compliant with taxation and statutory obligations (VAT, PAYE, RCT)
- Managing Year-end Audit
- Advising management on issues regarding financial control
- Ongoing development and review internal controls and processes
Candidate Profile Ideal candidate will have a number of years’ experience within a quality well run business. Role will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business. Candidate should be a Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant, with excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active “can do” attitude. Working experience within a fast-paced construction, contracting or engineering business would be a distinct advantage.
