Construction Foreman

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities and site workers to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage resources including materials, equipment, and workforce efficiently to optimize project performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and smooth workflow.
• Inspect work progress and quality regularly to uphold construction standards and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports on site activities, progress, and issues for senior management.
• Resolve onsite conflicts and troubleshoot problems promptly to avoid project delays.
• Ensure adherence to building codes, permits, and legal requirements throughout the construction process.

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills to guide diverse construction crews.
• In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Effective communication and organisational skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Relevant construction certifications or qualifications, such as CSCS or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work on different sites across Ireland and adapt to changing project demands.
