Consultant Physician GIM , S.I : Gastroenterology (Locum)

Woodston Personnel is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a Locum Consultant Physician in General Internal Medicine (GIM), specializing in Gastroenterology to join a University Hospital in Ireland. The Consultant will play a crucial role in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting with various gastrointestinal disorders as well as broader internal medicine issues. This role is perfect for a physician with strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized management plans for patients with gastrointestinal and other internal medicine conditions.
• Perform diagnostic procedures relevant to gastroenterology, including endoscopic evaluations.
• Provide expert consultations for complex cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in teaching and training of junior medical staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
• Educate patients and families about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• Specialist qualification in General Internal Medicine (GIM) and Gastroenterology (e.g., FRCP, FRCPE, or equivalent)

• Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council
• Fluency in English.
