Customer Services Representative

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Customer Services & Transport Manager, the Customer Services Representative is accountable for following company procedures for the accurate and timely administration of all transport activities.

Principal Responsibilities

• Process sales orders by phone and e-mail and enter customer orders on company systems


• Revert to customers with anticipated delivery dates and times according to the agreed lead times


• Highlight any changes to orders to production or any unusual requirements


• Update company systems with new customer accounts, delivery addresses, products etc.


• Upload delivery details to 3rd party distribution network within deadlines required


• Liaise with distributor, investigate and follow up on all queries


• Liaise with customers to amend delivery schedule if required/


• Communicate with technical representatives to ensure customer site readiness prior to the deliveries.

• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the organisation.

Person Specification

Education

• Leaving Certificate or higher

Professional Experience

• Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic customer-oriented environment.


• Experience of working within a logistics or freight company is desirable but not essential


• Strong IT skills including experience of working with ERP systems and MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook


• Experience of effectively managing customer enquiries, troubleshooting delivery issues and resolving issues promptly and professionally.


• Candidates must already possess the right to work in the EU.
