## Role Purpose:\n\nThe Data Centre Services Manager is responsible for all datacentre customer and supplier coordination with Vodafone teams. This extends across all functional areas required to maintain great customer experience as well as the efficient coordination of datacentre related internal activities e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Invoice and Payments, Account Management, Corporate Security, Strategy, Datacentre Regulatory and Sustainability compliance etc. \nThis person will have significant experience operating with multi-disciplinary teams and extensive experience managing supplier contracts, supplier negotiation, understanding technical activities across mechanical \u0026 electrical, datacentre design, cooling, and operations. \nThis person will be tasked with ensuring that all customer-related processes are fit for purpose and that all datacentre related internal, partner and customer communications are of a high standard appropriate to the specific audience. This includes responsibility for getting audience specific communications out to all the relevant parties. \nThey will be capable of managing customer expectations and will have responsibility for providing them with information and issue resolution as it pertains to Datacentre related services. \nThey will be capable of presenting to the most senior levels of the organisation as a subject matter expert and developer of strategy for our VBIE datacentre footprint.\n\n## Essence of Role \u2013 Key Accountabilities: \n\nCustomers, supplier, and third-party Service Management: Manage and coordinate all multi-party communications to ensure clarity across all DC related activities, including but not limited to group operational teams, third party contractors, partners, security, engineering, local Vodafone teams. Understand the contract landscape \u0026 manage supplier contracts in life.\n\nBusiness, customer, and supplier Datacentre Point of Contact: Provide a central point of contact for areas of the business, key customer stakeholders and third-party providers.Manage customer expectations at all times whilst also managing all relevant vendors \u0026 stakeholders, both within Vodafone (local and Group) and partners/3rd parties. Ensure that solutions/upgrades/installations are coordinated and communicated effectively to all relevant parties.\n\n \nDatacentre Third Party Contract, Cost, and Partner management: Ensure that all third parties and suppliers adhere to their contractual obligations. Setup of regular datacentre review meeting across all datacentre service providers to ensure clear lines of communication across all datacentre activities and responsibilities including (but not limited to) SLA reporting, compliance and certification, project reporting, cost control, incident management, routine and unplanned maintenance schedules etc.\n\n \nDatacentre Subject Matter Expert: Provide Datacentre expertise to internal teams including but not limited to Sales, Solution Design, Engineering, Technology, Support, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations \u0026 IT etc. \n\nCommercial Management: Map out and understand the vendors, the costs and the contracts that make up the estate. \nEnsure that all supplier requests for quotes and POs are valid from a technical, contractual and market value perspective. Gain approval from finance teams and raise POs as appropriate. Manage Datacentre related monthly PO\u2019s and goods receipting.\n\n \nLeadership and teamwork: Help coordinate customer-facing projects and programmes whilst managing cross-functional teams from across the business including but not limited to Sales, Solution Design, Engineering, Technology, Support, Finance \u0026 IT etc. \n\n \nDatacentre Strategy \u0026 Bid Support: Provide key inputs into Vodafone\u2019s multi-datacentre strategy. \nPresent Mid and Long-term Data centre Strategy to senior business management. \nWork closely with the account team and the customer to understand their stated and underlying business needs to ensure that the Vodafone bid meets these requirements, and the value proposition is fully understood.\n\n## We Are Looking For You, If You Have:\n\nBachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. \nRelevant certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP), or Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC). \nExperience in datacenter operations or administration, often several years. \nStrong leadership and project management skills to oversee and manage datacenter staff and projects. \nKnowledge of industry best practices and regulations related to datacenter management, such as ISO, PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR. \nContinuous learning through workshops, seminars, and vendor-specific training\n\n## When choosing us.....\n\nWhen you join the Vodafone Team, you will have the chance to grow your career while also experiencing some serious benefits! \n\n\u2022 Some of the benefits that you will receive along the way are: \n\u2022 Competitive Salary \n\u2022 Flexible working (times and location) is part of our culture where your hours can facilitate your personal work-life balance \n\u2022 Generous Employer Pension contribution \n\u2022 Free Phone Bill \u2013 When you join the team, your phone bill is on us!
