Key Responsibilities

• Health and safety process are followed by all staff.
• Staff have the Correct PPE.   
• Reporting of near misses on the health and safety portal.
• Dealing with staff daily.
• Problem solving / dealing with day-to-day issues.
• Customer requirements /Export and Paperwork files are sent on time.
• Ensuring stock rotation is being adhered to, and that all priority picking instructions from the production planners is completed.
• Order is picked and shipped to customer spec and presented in high standard.
• Engaging with management to drive improvements and opportunities.
• Ensuring only trained staff are operating machinery.
• PPT, Forklift, Shunter Driving Loading and unloading trailers.
• Ensuring that the area is kept clean and debris free.
• Ensuring that all paperwork is completed including intake and despatch check.
• Liaison with the QC departments within WGH and ensure that protocol is followed so that stock does not get misplaced.   
• Organising loading to keep the floor moving.
• Shift cover for evenings reviewing with the Despatch Lead.
• Ensuring staff are on time to start their shift, Breaks and clocking are followed as procedure.

What we need from you?

• Basic computer skills are advantageous
• Good people management skills
• Target-oriented approach
• Commitment to confidentiality
• Previous experience in meat production (beef processing preferred)
• Responsible from pre op. to post op. handover
• Manage staff holidays
