Job Description - Director of DC Design Engineering - EMEA

As Director of DC Design Engineering - EMEA you will be the executional and technical backbone of Eaton\u2019s global D\u0026E function. While the Global Director sets the vision and governance, the EMEA Leader ensures that strategy is translated into consistent, high-quality delivery across all regions. The EMEA Leader is a key member of the global leadership team and a trusted deputy to the Global Director.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nOperational Execution \u0026 Framework Deployment\n\nTranslate global frameworks into actionable regional programmes and deliverables.\n\nEnsure consistent application of design standards, modular templates, and BIM workflows across all geographies.\n\nMonitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nTechnical Leadership \u0026 Escalation Support\n\nAct as the primary technical escalation point below the Global Director level, supporting complex design and execution challenges.\n\nCoordinate with E33 Centre of Excellence, regional engineering teams, and solution architects to resolve issues and maintain quality.\n\nProgramme Management \u0026 Integration\n\nLead EMEA based cross-functional programmes integrating consultative design, modularisation, and digital engineering.\n\nContribute to global engineering initiatives including reference design rollouts, BIM library updates, and modular QA/QC enhancements.\n\nTendering \u0026 Bid Support\n\nOversee EMEA bid QA/QC processes and ensure technical consistency in submissions.\n\nSupport strategic tenders and customer engagements, aligning bid strategy with Eaton\u2019s global standards.\n\nDigital Enablement \u0026 BIM Governance\n\nDrive adoption of Autodesk tools and digital workflows across the region.\n\nMaintain and evolve BIM libraries, configurators, and traceability systems in collaboration with global and regional teams.\n\nTalent Development \u0026 Regional Coordination\n\nMentor regional engineers and build technical capability across the EMEA team.\n\nCoordinate resource planning and succession development in alignment with strategic priorities.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * BSc / MSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.\n * 8-10 Years of Experience working in Data Centre related environment (design, engineering, modularisation, digital enablement, tendering, and execution suppor).\n * Proven experience delivering the full suite of electrical \u0026 mechanical engineering services for mission critical facilities, including (but not limited to): \n * MV and LV power distribution, Transformers, UPS and standby generation systems, Cooling and HVAC systems\n * Strong knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and accepted industry best practices.\n * Experience undertaking value engineering and integrating new technologies to deliver cost effective, resilient client solutions.\n * Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is advantageous, but not essential.\n * Familiarity with emerging technologies such as edge computing and AI.\n * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n * Ability to think strategically and drive long-term innovation.\n * Proven experience in building teams and supporting processes.\n\n\n\n## What we offer you:\n\n * Competitive compensation, annual bonus, benefits package and company car.\n * Permanent contract in a fast-growing global company.\n * Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team.\n * Flexible working solutions.\n * We make ethics and culture matter \u2013 You will enjoy working in supportive and collaborative workplace where ethics and safety are in our DNA.\n * We make your perspectives matter - Different points of view are what drive innovation and collaboration, and at Eaton, innovation begins with top-to-bottom diversity.
