Job Description - Director of Nursing

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.

RecruitNet is hiring for a DON for our client, a leading Nursing Home in Co Cork.

Responsibilities

Take the lead in providing resident care.

Strengthen the person-centered strategy.

Encourage and guide a motivated group of people to reach their full potential.

Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and the Director of Quality and Innovation to create programs, policies, and evidence-based practice.

Report on home KPIs and carry out internal audits.

Employee onboarding, as well as continuous training and development

promotion of creative methods

ensuring that HIQA and company standards are followed and implemented.

Requirements

Three years or more of senior nursing management experience caring for the elderly (within the last six years) is required.

Qualification in post-registration management (at least QQI Level 6)

Presently enrolled with the NMBI

Demonstrated clinical, leadership, and interpersonal capabilities

Thorough familiarity with the "HEALTH ACT 2007" and HIQA requirements and regulations

Outstanding organizational, leadership, and communication abilities

Demonstrated ability to make decisions

Gerontology training is preferred.
