Job Description - Director of Nursing

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.

We are currently looking for a Director of Nursing - DON to lead our team and ensure we are offering the best standard of care to our Residents.

Responsibilities

Maintaining high standards by assigning employees to appropriate, approved training programs.

Following staff schedules and hiring as needed with the CEO's consent

To implement the disciplinary procedures outlined in staff contracts, to maintain complete written records, and to issue verbal and written warnings for minor infractions.

To take part in staff development and training initiatives as well as staff meetings.

Should stay conscious of the household routines and revisit them as needed.

To guarantee that the room, communal spaces, and working places are kept clean, maintained, and heated appropriately.

Ensuring the high caliber of care our residents get.

Adherence to regulations and our goal of going above and beyondevaluating new clients' social and medical needs

Continuous evaluations and assessments of every client.

Requirements

At least three years of postgraduate experience caring for older people (within the last six years) is required.

Three years or more of management experience and NMBI registration

At least a postgraduate degree in clinical management or gerontology is required for QQI Level 6 in Leadership/People Management.

Possess a thorough understanding of the ageing process.
