Job Description - Director of Nursing

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.

RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) for a Nursing Home in Co Wicklow Ireland.

Responsibilities

Carrying out internal checks and monitoring their findings

Employee onboarding, continuing education, and development Promotion of creative practice

Making sure that company and HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines are followed

arranging frequent meetings for discussion with all clinical personnel

Build strong relationships with outside community organizations to invite the neighborhood into the home and make it easier for residents to attend events and activities there.

Communicate with marketing to take advantage of chances and guarantee that the home is well-known in the neighborhood.

Put the company's health and safety policy into practice to protect the wellbeing and safety of employees, residents, and others.

Put frequent evacuation and fire safety training plans into action.

Requirements

Current NMBI Registration (General Division)

Minimum 3 years’ experience working with older people within the last 6 years

At least 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory capacity

Post-registration qualification in Healthcare Management or equivalent (desirable)

Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to collaborate at all levels

In-depth knowledge of the ageing process and elder care best practices

Genuine interest in working with elderly residents in a compassionate, person-centered manner

Garda Vetting Clearance

Working knowledge of the Health Act 2007, HIQA regulations, and relevant standards
