We are Hiringan Director of Nursing to a leading Nursing home in Clare, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and care services within the facility.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with HIQA standards, NMBI guidelines, and relevant legislation.
Lead, manage, and support nursing and care teams to achieve excellence in clinical practice and resident outcomes.
Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care programmes.
Ensure effective recruitment, retention, supervision, and performance management of staff.
Manage staffing levels, skill mix, and resource allocation to maintain safe and effective care delivery.
Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement through audits, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical governance frameworks to support best practice.
Maintain effective communication with residents, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders.
Manage budgets and resources efficiently while ensuring high standards of care and service provision.
Lead training, education, and professional development initiatives to enhance staff competence and career progression.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and emergency preparedness requirements.
Requirements
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of three yearsâ experience caring for older persons within the last six years.
At least three yearsâ proven experience in a nursing management or leadership role.
Post-registration qualification in Healthcare Management at Level 9 or equivalent.
Comprehensive knowledge of HIQA standards, relevant legislation, and regulatory requirements governing residential care services.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and support multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and enhancing residentsâ quality of life.
