Job Description - Director of Nursing

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for domestic and overseas candidates across Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home Care, and Community Care.

We are hiring an Director of Nursing for a Nursing Home in Co. Dublin

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the overall operations of the nursing home.

Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, regulations, and best practices.

Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, and resident safety.

Manage, mentor, and support multidisciplinary teams.

Drive continuous quality improvement and enhance resident satisfaction.

Promote a person-centred approach to care.

Monitor staffing, budgets, and operational performance.

Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.

Significant experience in senior nursing leadership and management roles.

Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Person in Charge (PIC) in a residential care setting is desirable.

Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and Irish healthcare regulations.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive service excellence.
