Director of Sales - Ireland 5* Hotel

My client, a Luxury 5* Hotel in the West of Ireland has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales or Sales Manager who is energetic and passionate about hospitality sales to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven sales background within a similar 5* Luxury Hotel environment and experience in all areas including Domestic & International Corporate, Conference, MICE, and Leisure markets. This will suit an ambitious sales manager who wants to grow their career and can demonstrate the delivery of business results across key sectors.

The Candidate:

Minimum of 5 years’ Hotel Sales experience in a target driven sales environment.

Proven track record in Corporate, Conference, Golf, MICE, local & international sales and overseas trade shows.

Experience of effective people management in a team environment.

Commercial awareness and a good understanding of yield management and rate strategies in both Meetings and Events and room blocks.

Sales focused, with targets and results being key driving factors.

Previous experience in a hotel’s budget building process.

Must be a strong self-starter and possess a recognised ability to close the sale.

Must have the capacity to respond to a fast-paced environment, with a multi-tasking ability in a changing environment.

Excellent levels of personal motivation and confident in what they do.

Effective communicator to clients and colleagues alike, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide precise written reports.

A good organiser with a pro-active approach who seeks out challenges and is driven by success.

Possess a strong track record and over-achievement in sales targets.

Confident, ambitious, pro-active and keen to progress.
