Director of Solicitor Services

As part of its strategic plan and in response to the evolving needs of the profession, the Society is now seeking to appoint a Director of Solicitor Services.

This is a newly created, senior leadership role reporting directly to the Director General and forming part of the Society’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The Director of Solicitor Services will lead the strategic coordination and delivery of a wide range of services to practising solicitors across three key areas: Practice Support, Career Support and Information Services.

The Director of Solicitor Services will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Society’s services are responsive, innovative and aligned with the needs of solicitors in small / medium firms, large firms, and in-house roles across the public and private sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of solicitor services in Ireland and contribute to the Society’s mission to support and empower the profession.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• A member of the Executive Leadership Team
• Coordinating the delivery of solicitor services across multiple departments
• Promoting awareness and engagement with the Society’s service offerings
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery
• Representing the Society externally and the strategic planning process

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING:

• Senior leadership experience in a professional service, legal, or representative body
• Strong understanding of the legal profession and its evolving landscape
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver impactful services
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning skills
• Experience in managing change and driving innovation in service delivery
