Job Description - Ecommerce Product Manager


We are helping a fast-growing online retail business hire an Ecommerce Product Manager for a 2 year contract role. They are operating in a hybrid model, with travel to the Cork offices for team gatherings and meetings.

This position is highly cross-functional, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of user journeys and process flows throughout the entire order fulfilment process within a grocery ecommerce environment.


Roles and Responsibilities: 

The primary focus of this role revolves around implementing ecommerce fulfilment and last mile delivery solutions across all of the client's retail brands.The successful candidate will build digital solutions that support and automate last mile, order management and fulfilment processes, resulting in efficiencies for client’s retailers and the best possible experience for their customers.

  • You ship the whole customer experience, this includes working across the business (e.g., UX, marketing, sales, customer service etc) to ensure that we are set up for success from the moment we release.


  • You ship to learn and drive a consistent shipping cadence, identifying the biggest assumptions and risks to build a clear hypothesis to test through in life validation and trials. 


  • You have a deep knowledge of day-to-day product processes and are as comfortable in the detail as you are with the bigger picture, often working on large projects while managing live products in parallel.

Requirements

The successful candidates will possess the following:







  • A third level qualification in IT, Product Management, Digital Business or equivalent.


  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mobile and web applications, specifically within a Digital Commerce/Retail environment. Experience working in a mix of agile and more traditional waterfall delivery methodologies. Should also have a proven track record of successfully delivering innovative solutions in previous digital projects.


  • Working knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS, etc.).


  • Skilled in project management, has an ability to deliver to tight deadlines while ensuring the customer needs are not forgotten along with managing external agencies and internal teams.


  • Comfortable with data interpretation and basic data models.


  • Experience working with fulfilment or last mile technologies would be a plus.


  • Excellent communication skills facilitating the building of strong cross functional relationships and using the available expertise and experience to good effect.


  • Strong influencer who can deliver at pace and manage stakeholders from a non-technology background.
