Engineering and NPI Lead

Our Client, a well established MedTech company in Limerick are currently seeking an Engineering and NPI Lead to join their team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage the engineering team, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and technicians to ensure alignment with NPI goals and objectives.
• Oversee the development and implementation of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of NPI projects, including coordinating activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory departments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department & NPI processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment of NPI projects with customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for NPI projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Interface with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide engineering support during product development and launch.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices throughout the NPI process.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve NPI processes and capabilities.
• Drive a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the engineering team to support the achievement of NPI goals and objectives.

• 3+ years of experience in a an Engineering or NPI Role.
• 1+ year experience in a leadership role


• Qualified Toolmaker is desirable.


• Degree/Post Graduate qualification in Engineering or a related field.


• Experience in a fast-paced environment.


• Understanding of market regulatory requirements.


• Ability to foster long-term relationships.


• Understand key business drivers for the industry with previous experience in Medical Device Regulations, Quality, and a proven track record in managing multiple projects
