We are hiring a Finance and HR administrator for a leading Nursing home in Carlow, Ireland.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Location: On-site
Working Hours: Standard office hours with flexibility in start and finish times
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Nursing and the Management Team.
Liaise and communicate with HSE offices, residents, and their families, maintaining accurate occupancy records and schedules.
Maintain financial ledgers and nominal accounts using Sage 50 Accounting Software.
Prepare monthly resident/customer invoices and manage the creditors ledger, ensuring timely supplier payments.
Process fortnightly payroll and submit Revenue (RoS) and other statutory financial returns.
Record company receipts, complete bank lodgements, and perform reconciliations of bank accounts, petty cash, and credit cards.
Prepare and provide weekly financial reports and updates to the Group Finance Manager.
Maintain employee records, databases, and workforce forecasting information with accuracy and confidentiality.
Prepare employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and employee files, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
Coordinate Garda Vetting for all employees, ensure records remain up to date, and provide regular HR administration updates to the Group Head of HR.
Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to manage financial data accurately.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Trustworthy, professional, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounts or finance administration role.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an HR Administration role, with knowledge of employee records and HR processes.
