Job Description - Financial Accountant - Construction & Engineering

We are working with a rapidly growing international engineering and construction organisation to appoint a Financial Accountant into a high -performing finance team. This role offers excellent exposure to multi -entity reporting, international operations, and process improvement within a fast -paced, project -driven environment.

The position is well suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys taking ownership of core accounting processes while contributing to the evolution of systems, controls, and reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple jurisdictions, including variance analysis.
Supporting month -end close activities, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
Supporting the annual audit process under FRS 102.
Liaising with external advisors and third -party providers to ensure local statutory compliance.
Driving continuous improvement in accounting processes, controls, and reporting quality.
Supporting systems enhancements, automation, and digitalisation initiatives.

Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
2+ years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability.
Experience working in multi -entity or multi -jurisdiction environments advantageous.
Strong Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP B1 or similar) beneficial.
Highly organised, detail -oriented, and comfortable working to deadlines.
