FP&A Senior Analyst

Campion Insurance (a part of the PIB group) is a leading retail and commercial insurance broker in with 30 + locations around Ireland and extensive product range. We are currently going through a significant growth phase through both organic and M&A activity in the market.

Reporting directly to the CFO, we are currently seeking an experienced FP&A Analyst. We are looking for an experience candidate to join our growing finance team in our Dublin location. 

Role Purpose: 

The role directly supports the FP&A function in Finance MI and analysis and in developing the appropriate tools to achieve this. This senior FP&A role is responsible for producing large amounts of forward-looking financial information (Budgets, plans, forecast) as well as innovative ways to present management information to assist in decision making. 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Production of financial MI and analysis as part of routine Finance closing processes.
• Develop and maintain result tracking models to compare actuals to plan and to monitor KPI’s against plan and forecast.
• Analysis and Prepare financial result information presentable to Group and provide analysis to support variances to plan and forecast. Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure that differences in basis of production and phasing differences between plans and actual financial data are understood and explained.
• Develop and generate reports to monitor movements against submitted plans and forecasts and resolve these through appropriate commentary or investigation.
• Play a key role in building out reporting capabilities while working closely with Financial Accounting & Reporting colleagues to improve information shared with the wider business.

Professional Experience & Skills

• Highly analytical with excellent spreadsheet skills.
• Qualified accountant with a number of years post qualification experience (preferably in insurance market) 
• Preferably proficient with the use of Power BI 
• Experience in analysing financial information relating to plans and forecasts and preparation of relevant commentary.
• Ideally the candidate will have strong core MI reporting and financial analysis experience in an insurance environment.
• A passion for investigating data and looking for ways to improve existing process
