Full Stack Software Engineer

We have a great opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer to join our team in the Fidelity Wealth organisation. This position aligns to the Capital Markets division of Fidelity Wealth. Capital Markets is the institutional trading arm of Fidelity, delivering brokerage and trading solutions worldwide for institutional and retail customers. The engineering team provides software engineering, application development and project management for Capital Markets applications. You will work as part of a team developing on the Baskets Portfolio application platform, a self-directed portfolio offering that allows customers to build and manage a portfolio (Basket) of stocks and ETFs.

The Expertise We’re Looking For 

• Bachelors degree in a Technology related field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.). 
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software application design & development.
• Have a good knowledge of core Java i.e., Object-Oriented Design concepts, data structures, algorithms, and modern Java features.
• Have worked with frameworks such as Spring Boot with knowledge of Spring ecosystem including Spring Web, Spring Data JPA, Spring AOP, Spring WebFlux.
• Knowledge of Web Services such as REST API Development, Schema design, publishing to SwaggerHub, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
• Experience with build, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, etc.). 
• Knowledge of automation test frameworks (e.g. Cucumber) and test-driven development. 
• Experience with Oracle Database and familiarity with  database design, optimization, SQL tuning, and integration using JPA/Hibernate and Oracle UCP
• Experience with Maven build lifecycle, dependency management, and plugin configuration
• Have experience working with Unit and integration test automation using JUnit, Spring Boot Test framework, and Cucumber for BDD testing
• Experience working with version control systems like Git, including advanced branching strategies and collaborative workflows
• Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools
• Experience working in Agile teams, Scrum practices, and delivery to Sprint Goals
• Solid knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting skills, with familiarity in using Datadog, Splunk, or similar observability tools
