The Role:
Due to continuous expansion, we are seeking an experienced General Operative to join our growing team.

Within this role, you will carry out high-quality snagging, finishing, and minor repair works on domestic properties that have undergone energy efficiency upgrades under the SEAI Home Upgrade Schemes.

This role requires strong attention to detail, a broad set of trade skills and an awareness of Building regulations is of paramount importance along with compliance with the SEAI requirements. Working in conjunction with our Scheduling, Quality and Logistics departments, we will require a proactive and clear communicator, able to work on own initiative and prioritise own workload. 

This roles requires flexibility to travel within Munster predominantly.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a comprehensive level of service to our customers on-site, which may include, but is not limited to, snagging, minor carpentry, plastering, breaking out concrete, blocking fireplaces, installing attic insulation, patching plasterboard, etc.

  • Operate hand tools and basic machinery safely and efficiently.

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, QA and internal departments.

  • Monitor and report any issues with company equipment or site conditions.

  • Observe and comply with all lawful instructions, rules, regulations and policies.

  • Maintain safety, cleanliness and professionalism on site.

  • Log and file job update reports on our CRM software.

  • Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by your Manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.




Requirements

  • Min. 2 years experience in a construction trade.
  • Some electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A CSCS Mobile Scaffolding Card is strongly desirable but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of SEAI energy upgrade works - these measures include wall insulation, attic insulation, heat pumps, solar PV, windows, doors, floor insulation and mechanical ventilation.
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
  • Confident problem solver with a hands-on approach.Basic understanding of renewable energy systems (training will be provided).
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills or gain industry certificates as deemed necessary. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent English (verbal and written).
  • Full clean driving licence.
