Job Description - Graduate Business Development Executive (US market)

SilverBack and the role


SilverBack is a specialist technical recruitment business connecting world-class electrical and mechanical talent with some of the most impactful industrial projects globally. We work across high-growth sectors such as data centres and clean-tech, mobilising both white-collar and trade professionals to where they are needed most.


Historically, SilverBack has built a strong reputation across the European markets, and we are now entering an exciting new phase of growth with the launch of our US business.


We are seeking a graduate to take up a role as Business Development Executive. They will be a team-player and someone who is eager to kick-off their career in a fast-paced, international recruitment and sales environment.


This role will play a key part in launching SilverBack in the US market, with a primary focus on generating leads, opening conversations, setting up meetings and generating opportunities with clients hiring white-collar professionals in the US construction industry, starting with data centers. There will also be exposure to the broad hi-tech construction sector and, secondarily, opportunities to support business development in our established European markets.


This is an ideal role for someone who is curious by nature, confident in communicating with strangers and motivated by growth and progression.


Key Responsibilities


· Proactively identify and generate new business leads in the US market, primarily within the data centre sector


· Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels


· Research and map US-based clients, projects, and decision-makers


· Qualify opportunities and book meetings for senior consultants and leadership


· Build an understanding of SilverBack’s technical recruitment offering across electrical and mechanical disciplines


· Develop knowledge of the US data centre and other hi-tech construction landscapes


· Support business development initiatives in the Nordic and wider European markets (secondary focus)


· Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline using CRM systems


· Collaborate closely with recruitment and delivery teams to align market intelligence


What We’re Looking For:


Essential


· Recent graduate (business, commerce, engineering, or similar preferred but not required)


· Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with new people


· A proactive, resilient mindset with a willingness to pick up the phone


· High levels of motivation, energy, and ambition


· Interest in sales, business development, or recruitment


· Commercial awareness and curiosity about global markets


· Fluent written and spoken English.


Desirable


· Any exposure to sales, recruitment, or customer-facing roles


· Interest in construction, engineering, data centres, or advanced manufacturing


· Experience using LinkedIn or CRM systems
