Who We Are:

At Electric Ireland Superhomes we empower our customers to achieve warmer, healthier, low-carbon homes. Our purpose is guiding Irish homeowners through the home energy retrofit process to deliver on Ireland’s climate action targets.

Through our One-Stop-Shop we offer professional services through design and oversight of whole house energy efficiency solutions. Electric Ireland Superhomes offers a fulfilling career in a future-focused industry, particularly for those interested in supporting Ireland’s energy transition.

Our Graduate Programme:

We have an exciting opportunity for recent engineering graduates to join our skilled team of Retrofit Energy Engineers and to launch their career in the growth field of energy engineering and sustainability.

Our Graduate Programme will allow you to build your professional skillset through practical hands-on experience, along with structured technical and non-technical training and development. Our programme offers;

  • An opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, and gain a qualification, with a structured diploma in Residential Retrofit Management through our third-level education partner.

  • On-the-job mentorship, working with a senior member of our Engineering Team

  • Structured rotations to gain experience across our business activities.

  • Off-the-job technical upskilling in relevant and future-focused subject areas (e.g. NZEB, BER Assessment).

Following successful completion of this 18-month programme, you will have gained the experience to deliver in the role of a Retrofit Energy Engineer, empowering our customers and communities to achieve low-carbon living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with clients (mainly homeowners, architects and Approved Housing Bodies) to understand their energy needs, identifying appropriate retrofit solutions.

  • Conducting energy audits alongside engineering colleagues and assisting in pre and post-energy analysis.

  • Designing and implementing heat pump-led, deep retrofit whole house solutions.

  • Working alongside our multidisciplinary teams to execute and deliver retrofit projects on time and within budget.

  • Project Specification & Tender Cost Analysis using a value for money model.

  • Practicing and implementing our mission of the “whole building approach” which is the understanding that a space performs optimally as an integrated whole system.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a recent graduate (Level 7 or Level 8) in Energy Engineering or a related discipline (Mech, Elec, Civil, Arch, Build Services, Environment etc.)

  • Have previous experience in a professional environment.

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to collaborate, and attention to detail.

  • Have a customer-centric approach with a strong focus on problem-solving.

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a diverse range of stakeholders, including homeowners and contractors.

  • Be able to prioritise workloads and work effectively to deadlines.

  • Be a proven self-starter and self-motivated.

  • Have a full clean driving licence and use of a car.

  • Have an understanding of and an interest in climate change, energy use and the relationship between the two.

Location:
