JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT

POSITION TITLE: Graphic Designer

ROLE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Leinster Rugby is one of Europe’s leading professional rugby organisations, with a proud history, passionate supporter base, and ambitious growth plans across men’s, women’s and domestic rugby.

We are seeking a creative Graphic Designer to help bring the Leinster Rugby brand to life. Working across brand campaigns, digital, matchday and commercial activity, this role will combine strong creative thinking with hands-on design expertise to deliver engaging, distinctive and high-quality work that strengthens our brand and connects with our supporters, communities and partners.

Working as part of the Brand & Marketing team, the Graphic Designer will collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to develop and deliver creative work aligned with Leinster Rugby's brand strategy, campaign priorities and commercial objectives. The role requires a combination of creative thinking, strong design skills, excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Functional:       Chief Commercial Officer, Leinster Rugby

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

• Proven graphic design experience, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, visual design skills and digital and social-first design capability


• Strong understanding of brand identity and visual communication, with the ability to apply brand guidelines consistently and creatively


• Excellent attention to detail


• Strong organisational and project management skills


• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously


• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)


• Experience working in sport, fashion, entertainment, media or live events

Desirable

• Experience creating motion graphics or simple animation assets


• Knowledge of social media best practice and platform requirements


• Photography or video editing skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative Design & Brand Development

• Develop distinctive, high-quality creative work that brings the Leinster Rugby brand to life across digital, print and physical environments


• Translate campaign briefs into strong visual concepts and creative executions


• Apply Leinster Rugby's brand guidelines consistently and creatively, helping strengthen the brand's visual identity across all touchpoints

Campaigns, Matchday & Digital

• Develop creative assets for integrated marketing campaigns, including ticketing, kit launches, men's, women's and domestic rugby initiatives, and supporter and partner engagement


• Design content for social media, email, digital advertising, website and other marketing channels


• Create engaging visual assets that enhance the matchday experience, including stadium branding, screen graphics and fan engagement activities


• Support the creative delivery of major club announcements and launches

Creative Production & Collaboration

• Work with external creative agencies to adapt and roll out campaign creative, ensuring consistency and quality across channels


• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver creative work aligned with agreed brand and marketing priorities


• Develop and maintain design templates and brand asset libraries to improve consistency and efficiency


• Liaise with printers, production suppliers and other external partners to ensure high-quality execution


• Support additional graphic design requirements across the organisation, in line with agreed brand and marketing priorities
