JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Zeus Group Ltd / JJ O’Toole provide innovative packaging solutions and designs to Irelands premium brands in the industrial, retail, hospitality and food sectors. We have an exciting opportunity for a talented studio graphic designer who has a passion for creativity & packaging to join our established and highly respected Creative Studio in Limerick who lead the field in luxury packaging design.

A creative and detail-oriented person who takes pride in their work and strives to produce only the highest quality graphics and packaging. Experience of preparing artwork for production and design pitches A highly motivated and punctual individual, who actively seeks out areas of improvement by constantly reviewing output and looking to our industry competitors and industry and retail trends for inspiration.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of JJ O’Toole / Zeus Group Creative team and in-house Design Studio, you will report to the Head of Studio.

Working closely with the creative and ecommerce teams you will be responsible for

• Liaising with Zeus sales team to interpret client requests and advise on artwork for print (colours, resolution, keylines)


• Creating mood boards for clients


• Creating print ready artwork and applying supplied artwork to print keylines


• Approving proof artwork for print - layout, colour


• Checking physical print samples and giving feedback to printers


• Branding projects - Logo and branding suite creation, brand guidelines


• 3D software skills in Blender or similar is a plus


• Supporting marketing collateral needs for the business and website as required with thoughtful creative design.

SCOPE OF POSITION       

The post holder will be expected to work any hours required in the execution of his/her duties. The role does not have line management responsibility

LOCATION

This position is located in our Limerick office.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

• A portfolio that demonstrates high quality commercial & creative design elements


• Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop


• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects a plus


• Competence with Microsoft 365 suite of products.


• Self-motivated but able to work within a very close-knit team.


• Interest in marketing a plus


• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.


• Confident and comfortable liaising across all levels and departments


• You’ll need to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be supported, mentored and developed by our experienced Creative team.
