This position can be based in Ireland or the UK and offers a hybrid working model.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive group‑wide EQH&S strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Advise senior leadership on organisational risk, EQH&S priorities, and emerging regulatory trends.

Regulatory Assurance, Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EQH&S legislation across Ireland, the UK, EU, and international locations.

  • Lead and coordinate ISO-certified management system audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee audits, inspections, incident investigations, and the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

  • Lead environmental permitting processes, regulatory reporting, and sustainability initiatives.

Culture, Leadership Development & Workforce Capability

  • Champion a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.

  • Develop and deliver EQH&S training programmes that enhance capability at all organisational levels.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing EHS team operating across multiple regions.

Operational Excellence, Innovation & Performance Improvement

  • Standardise EQH&S practices and performance measures across the organisation.

  • Monitor, analyse, and report performance using KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven insights.

  • Drive innovation through digital EHS tools, technologies, and modern analytics.

Collaboration, Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Strengthen cross‑departmental collaboration to ensure consistent application of EQH&S standards.

  • Represent the organisation professionally to clients, regulators, and industry partners.

  • Integrate EQH&S considerations into strategic planning and major operational decisions.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

  • IOSH Membership or NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable.

  • Experience managing integrated EQH&S Management Systems within multi‑site construction, technical, or engineering environments.

  • Demonstrated experience with ISO standards and audit processes including preparing for, leading, or coordinating internal and external audits.

  • Strong understanding of operational and field‑based risk.

  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and developing teams.

  • Strong data analysis, performance reporting, and evidence‑based decision‑making skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience delivering training and stakeholder briefings.

  • Willingness and ability to travel across Europe and internationally as required.
