WE HIRING A HEAD CHEF FOR OUR NEW BUSINESS OPENING IN DONEGAL TOWN IN JUNE!
O'Hehirs is a well-established, family run business in food and bakery based in Sligo with a chain of shops spanning Sligo, Donegal, Mayo, Galway, Longford, and Westmeath.
We will be opening our new restaurant in Donegal town in June in the former Fury's Diner premises. Inspired by our Dock 84 menu we will be creating a similar dining experience that will offer both a dine in and take away on our well known bakery products.
We are seeking a FULL HEAD CHEF. A key part of this role initially, will be setting up the kitchen in our new restaurant and when up and running will have full responsibility for the kitchen's daily operations. This will include areas such as menu creation, working with local suppliers for food orders, getting processes in place for running the kitchen. This is great opportunity for someone to make their mark in building a successful restaurant in Donegal town.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage & lead team of chefs and kitchen porters, managing weekly rosters
Work with local suppliers for food orders
Create new menus
To assist and monitor food stock levels and stock rotation
To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
Set up cleaning schedules for the kitchen
To ensure that mise en place is completed
To report any maintenance issues to the Area Manager immediately.
To comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
Comply with all EHS procedures to include all statutory procedures- Fire Health and Safety, hygiene, internal audit.
To carry out any other reasonable task as assigned by management to meet with business needs.
