Job Description - Head of Capital Markets

The Head of Treasury & Capital Planning will oversee the company's treasury operations and manage the capital structure to support the strategic goals of the business. This role involves developing and executing financing strategies, managing liquidity, mitigating financial risks, and ensuring effective capital allocation for sustainable growth. The individual will work closely with leaders across the company, with a strong focus on funding projects, including joint ventures and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily cash flow activities to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations while optimizing cash balances. This includes developing accurate cash flow forecasts and efficiently managing working capital.
Balance equity and debt to minimize the cost of capital. Lead the financial structuring and funding of projects, manage debt and equity raising efforts, and ensure capital allocation aligns with long-term goals.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and commodity price exposures. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Lead the financial structuring and funding of projects, including securing debt financing, equity investments, and partnerships. Evaluate the financial viability of new projects and oversee financial modeling and risk analysis.
Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure competitive financing solutions. Negotiate favorable terms for debt facilities and manage credit lines.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in treasury, capital planning, or corporate finance.
Relevant degree in Business, Corporate Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in project finance, particularly with large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
Strategic thinker who can align treasury and capital planning with broader business goals.
Results-driven with a focus on delivering value to the company and its stakeholders.
