Objective of the Role
Reporting to the Executive Head Chef, Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for smooth running of pastry department in our hotel, and ensure that our guests experience the highest quality pastries.
Main Duties:
- Preparing and presenting quality desserts, pastries and bakery items.
- Responsible for the Pastry Section of the kitchen ensuring high-quality ingredients are used
- Menu creation and development
- Working knowledge of HACCP & Food Safety regulations.
- Engage with guest and act upon guest feedback
- Ensuring SOPs are updated and all team members are fully trained
- Provide team training on our standards and customer service
- Working alongside and supporting our Executive Head Chef
- Motivate and create engaging work environment within the department
- To have excellent product knowledge and enjoy sharing it
Key Requirements:
- Creative and passionate about culinary arts
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and have positive attitude
- Flexible with hours/ own transport
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, time management and organisational skills
- Full working rights in Ireland.
