RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.







RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring an Health Care Assistant for a Nursing Home in Co Wexford, Ireland.
       
 Responsibilities








  • Ability to deliver high quality person centred care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence.



  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance to residents.



  • Experience assisting residents with mobility, daily living activities, and personal care needs.



  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with nursing staff, residents, and families.



  • Strong observation and reporting skills to identify and communicate changes in residents' conditions.



  • Ability to assist residents with feeding, hydration, and maintaining overall comfort and wellbeing.



  • Experience supporting and encouraging participation in social and recreational activities.



  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members.



  • Knowledge of infection prevention, cleanliness standards, and health and safety practices.



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a busy care environment.







Requirements




  • Healthcare qualification completed or currently in progress (QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent).



  • Previous experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or residential care setting is desirable.



  • Relevant healthcare experience is required for Senior Healthcare Assistant applicants.



  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred resident care.



  • Compassionate and caring approach with a genuine interest in supporting older adults.



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.



  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.



  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.



  • All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance, and Garda Vetting.
