As we grow our team, we're looking for an HR Specialist to help us build the people-side of the business from the ground up.

The Role

We're looking for an organized, people-focused HR Specialist to manage the full employee lifecycle as we scale — from recruitment through onboarding, contracts, and day-to-day HR operations. This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-moving startup, so you'll be setting up processes as much as running them.

Tasks

What You'll Do

You'll manage end-to-end recruitment for open roles — writing job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with the founder on hiring decisions. You'll handle onboarding for new hires, making sure contracts, documentation, and access are sorted before day one. You'll be the go-to person for employee questions around contracts, leave, and policies, and you'll help put basic HR processes and documentation in place where they don't exist yet. You'll also keep employee records organized and compliant, and support the founder on any people-related decisions as the team grows.

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of experience in an HR, recruitment, or people operations role
• Comfortable working independently and building processes from scratch, not just following existing ones
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly around contracts and documentation
• Confident, clear communicator, comfortable handling sensitive conversations
• Familiarity with Croatian employment law and contract requirements
• Self-motivated and comfortable in a small, fast-moving startup environment

Requirements

Nice to Have

• Experience hiring for remote or international roles
• Familiarity with HR/HRIS tools
• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment
