infrastructure Engineer

A really exciting opportunity has hit the market with one of our leading banking clients based in Dublin for an infrastructure engineer to become a key part in developing some important message tooling.

Role : infrastructure engineer

Location: Dublin, 3 days per week on site required

Rate: Circa €500 - €600

Duration: 6 month temp-perm possibility

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient Python code.


• Design and develop ETL pipelines according to business requirements.


• Design and implement robust database solutions using SQL databases; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.


• Use Grafana or other UI tools for data visualization and to create intuitive UI dashboards for end-user interactions.


• Collaborate with the team to plan, design, and develop the next phases of the project, potentially involving system migration and integration of additional database systems.


• Ensure consistent use of Git for version control and contribute to the enhancement of development processes.

Skills and experience required:

• Python programming


• Database skills - SQL/No SQL database


• Development of analytics platform - some knowledge of building dashboards, visualization for analytics would be highly desirable.


• Familiarity with Linux environment


• Understanding of version control tools, specifically Git


• Experience in full life cycle SDLC or Agile methodologies


• DevOps Experience - CI/CD tools like Horizon, Bitbucket, Ansible etc


• Experience of implementation in Cloud/Containerization would be a real plus.


• Some UI/UX sklls


• Understanding of messaging platforms like AMPS, Apache Kafka
