IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR WITH A FOCUS ON SERVERS (M/F/D)

TASKS

Responsibility for the administration, expansion and smooth operation of the internal server farm (mainly Windows, partly Linux)

Planning and installing new servers

Independently solving problems in the network in 2nd and 3rd level support

Independently analyze, prioritize and process technical support requests in the ticket system

Checking the backups

Contact person for IT support staff in the server area

Document solutions in the central IT documentation

Server maintenance, monitoring and optimization

Collaboration in projects

Planning and coordinating external service providers

24/7 on-call duty - after a familiarization phase; approx. 1 x per month (one week each)

YOUR PROFILE

Completed training as an IT specialist, completed studies in the IT environment or equivalent professional experience in the IT industry

Several years of professional experience in the field of server administration

Good technical understanding, an analytical way of working and quick comprehension skills

demonstrably sound knowledge in the configuration and administration of servers and virtualization environments (Windows Server, Hyper-V, Linux Server)

Good knowledge of the classic Windows domain environment (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)

RSAT is part of your standard equipment

Prioritization competence

Basic knowledge of backup (hardware and software)

Friendly demeanor, a customer-oriented way of working and a strong service mindset

Good knowledge of German and English

Willingness to be on call 24/7
