We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage, support, and optimise our business-critical systems. This role focuses heavily on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data reporting using Power BI. Experience within the construction or manufacturing sector is highly desirable, as the role requires supporting operational teams, project workflows, supply chain processes, and field‑based technology needs.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Support
Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environments.
Provide day‑to‑day support for ERP users across finance, procurement, manufacturing/production, planning, and logistics.
Administer system security, user access, permissions, and compliance settings.
Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
Maintain and optimise on‑premise and cloud‑based IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, backups).
Business Central & ERP Management
Oversee Business Central updates, integrations, workflows, and customisations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance ERP functionality.
Maintain data integrity, master data management, and process alignment across departments.
Support construction‑specific workflows (job costing, project tracking, production schedules, procurement cycles).
Reporting & Data Analytics
Build, maintain, and optimise Power BI dashboards and reports for finance, operations, and leadership teams.
Develop automated reporting solutions connected to ERP data sources.
Ensure accuracy, governance, and security of all business intelligence outputs.
Operational Support (Construction Environment)
Support field teams, fabrication workshops, and site offices with IT needs.
Assist with job costing systems, time‑tracking solutions, and project‑level data dependencies.
Ensure technology supports construction workflows, compliance requirements, and safety systems.
IT Governance & Projects
Participate in IT improvement initiatives, ERP upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and digital transformation projects.
Document system processes, training guides, and technical procedures.
Ensure adherence to IT policies, version control, data protection, and industry-specific compliance standards.
Assist in day to day IT support in conjunction with IT partner.
Required Skills & Experience
3 - 5 years in an IT Systems Administrator or similar technical support role.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (mandatory).
Strong understanding of ERP ecosystems, integrations, and business process flows.
Advanced skills in Power BI: data modelling, DAX, dashboards, and ETL pipelines.
Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, networking, Active Directory, and security protocols.
Experience supporting technology in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing environment (preferred).
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across technical and non‑technical departments.
Desirable Skills
Experience with SQL databases, APIs, or ERP integration tools.
Knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, and process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
Familiarity with job costing, production reporting, procurement workflows, and project management tools common in construction.
