This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks. As a Barclays Junior Investment Advisor with fluency in Spanish, you will be providing assistance to the wider Dublin Advisory investment team with a particular focus on helping existing senior advisory team members. In this role you will have a chance to be partnering with senior Investment Advisors, Discretionary Portfolio Managers and their aligned Private bankers bringing a deep understanding of investment proposition, focusing on administrative procedures and interactions with the Investments Team. What will you be doing?
• Assisting the current investment advisory team on all day-to-day tasks, preparing for client meetings and banker presentations and provides support with any follow-up actions
• Building and managing relationships with Private Bankers and their executives and product, operational and client service colleagues across the business
• Completing administrative tasks connected to the full spectrum of investment solutions and the end-to-end process
• Managing client and banker relationships and assisting with providing proactive bespoke investment advice service as agreed with clients and bankers
• Providing a comprehensive consultation process, technical strength in assessing the needs and risk appetite of the client, and translating this into portfolio construction, asset allocation 
• Having meaningful communication with other groups, influence successful outcomes, and challenge views where appropriate
• Preparing wide ranging investment content at banker team meetings, larger business investment briefings and external conferences/presentations where required
• Providing assistance to the FX and Money Markets ‘MM’ desk, understanding the process and upskilling on the range of FX products

What we’re looking for:

• Fluency in Spanish and English is required, Italian is an advantage, experience of the private banking and/or wealth management industry or broader financial services experience
• Ability to determine the right solution for the client situation including pitches, proposals, existing portfolio analysis, implementation and on-going investment reviews
• Knowledge of the concepts of developing and managing investment business with HNW, UHNW and Family Office clients, with varied investment requirements 
• Excellent presentation skills to effectively showcase the Private Bank and investment proposition full spectrum of investment solutions and the end-to-end process

Skills that will help you in the role:

• First-class knowledge of a range of asset class’: equities, bonds, funds, alternatives, derivatives, and foreign exchange
• Extensive knowledge of portfolio construction and a range of solutions to execute implementation and driving process improvement and leading efficiency initiatives
• Appropriate technical and product knowledge to deliver execution on the full spectrum of global markets and associated investment services and solutions 
• Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of relevant changes in the marketplace, products, legislation and regulation, knowledge of the risks associated with investment products

You will be based in our new flagship office, One Molesworth Street, which is in the heart of Dublin city Centre.
