Murphy is recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to work with our Energy and Industry team on Ballyroe Solar Farm.

What you will be doing:
- Promote best practice in health, safety and environmental standards in line with SHQE guidance.
- Support the Senior QS with day‑to‑day commercial duties across the project.
- Help maintain strong commercial awareness within the project team.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, governance and reporting requirements.
- Assist with preparation of internal commercial reports and client‑facing cost reports.
- Support the preparation of valuations/applications for payment with required documentation.
- Help manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier account administration, including payments and final accounts.
- Maintain contract administration records, including change management and associated registers.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities and support value‑engineering activities.
- Contribute to cost control, cost mitigation and maintaining accurate site records.
- Assist in preparing Cost‑to‑Complete forecasts and project risk registers.
- Support preparation of change events, EOT claims and final account submissions.
- Measure quantities in line with standard methods of measurement.
Who we are looking for:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Economics
- On route to being Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent
- Full driving licence
- All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards
- Commercially astute.
- Excellent knowledge of standard forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement
- Experiences in Civils Projects, Renewables and Electrical Projects (desireable)
- Estimating and takeoffs experience (desireable)
