Job Description - Lab Support Associate

Position Title: Lab Support Associate

I.POSITION SUMMARY:

  • To provide exceptional customer service and business support in order to contribute to the continued growth and success of the Business.

II.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Main tasks include:
  • Lab Porterage
  • Lab hazardous solid and liquid and Non-hazard waste management
  • Cleaning of the lab equipment
  • Equipment standardisation (balance verification)
  • Glasswasher operation
  • Vendor Managed Inventory operations & Consumables stock control and Labelling
  • Responsible for the preparation of a variety of buffer and media solutions utilized in testing and biologics development
  • Lab autoclave and sterilisation operations
  • Moving lab samples internally around the building from warehouse to labs and vice versa
  • General Metrology - standardisation of balances, PH meters, Pipettes (Daily Checks)
  • Delivery of packaging’s to labs including CO2 dry packaging
  • Bio Safety Cabinet Monthly Cleans

2. Training:

  • Part takes in basic induction training for new staff
  • Completion of training required to complete duties in compliance with local procedures
  • Promptly deal with any queries or complaints
  • Encourage good relations with all clients on contract site

III. ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • May participate in department initiatives and projects.

IV.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Third level diploma however degree preferred

Qualification in metrology preferrable

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Previous Pharma/GMP Experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills

Knowledge and Skills:

Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills
