Lead Azure Cloud Developer | PGIM Ireland

Location: Letterkenny (Hybrid 2-3 Days in Office p/week)

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role will play a key part in building scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support critical business applications.

What You will Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and maintenance using Terraform

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security; troubleshoot issues as needed

• Ensure cloud environments follow best practices for security, compliance, and cost optimization

• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams to support cloud-native solutions

• Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

• Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and procedures

What You will Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud engineering roles

• 2+ years of experience with using Terraform to automate Azure provisioning and maintenance

• Experience with scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, or similar)

• Familiarity with Azure Container Apps

• Experience with git and GitHub Actions

• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Proactive and ownership-driven mindset

What will Set You Apart

• Cloud certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate

• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.)

• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments

• Experience with designing, provisioning and testing BCDR for multi-tier cloud-based solutions
