We are hiring for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to work with us in the Dublin area.


The Lead HSE Advisor will support a positive safety culture by championing best practice, conducting training for new and existing Colleagues on the importance of health and safety, and by suggesting improvements to existing processes and procedures.



Key Responsibilities as Lead HSE Advisor will include :


 



  • Positively and proactively embed a positive HS&E culture – enhancing the focus on preventative actions, reduction of injuries, and the promotion of health and environmentally friendly site operations.

  • Assisting in ensuring that all employees and sub-contractors are fully compliant and up to date in all Health, Safety & Workplace legislation.

  • Communicate all HS&E requirements clearly, using modern software and providing guidance through procedures, bulletins, verbal support, mentoring, and coaching.

  • Root cause analysis of accidents and preventing recurrence, carrying out site safety inspections and conducting accident and dangerous occurrence investigations.

  • Maintaining and tracking the accident and dangerous occurrence Register.

  • Reviewing (RAMS) Risk Assessments and Method Statements and Safe Plans of Action (SPA).

  • Liaising with Site Managers to ensure Health and Safety documentation is fully up to date.

  • Attending whiteboard meetings, delivering Toolbox Talks and chairing project safety meetings.

  • Compliance monitoring and auditing, and planning of the strategy and delivery of cultural and behavioural change.

  • Acting as a Company representative during outside Agency Audits/Inspections with regards to Health and Safety.

  • The development and management of risk assessments & method statements.

  • Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by the Health & Safety Manager.


 


Qualifications/Experience:


 



  • A minimum of a Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in Health and Safety.

  • Experience : a minimum of 3 years - ideally within a main/specialist contractor

  • Strong and proven ability to influence change and champion best practice.

  • A demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. An ability to communicated in English – spoken and written – is required.
