Direct Reporting Line To: League of Ireland Operations Manager

The Position:
The successful candidate will be a key member of the League of Ireland Team. The core focus of the role is the administration and day-to-day management of the League Office to ensure an efficient, professional service is provided to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality administrative support across all League of Ireland operations with oversight of League of Ireland mailbox and handling general queries.
Primary point of contact for all League of Ireland clubs
Weekly verification of match cards, match attendance reporting & disciplinary sanctions
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Women's Premier Division, ensuring compliance with league regulations, supporting clubs, and acting as a key point of contact for club secretaries.
Supporting the Operations Manager and League Director in the evaluation of professional contracts within both the Men’s and Women’s Divisions.
Assist Operations Manager with kit review and approval, coordinate timelines with clubs and suppliers, and ensure timely delivery to FAI HQ and creation of kit document
Supporting League of Ireland teams with their UEFA Club Competitions applications
Point of contact for the LOI Referee Manager
Oversee review and implementation of competition rules
Assist the FAI Cup Competition Manager with operational planning for the FAI Cups
Assist with the coordination of meetings, including scheduling of meetings, agenda preparation, minutes and follow-ups.
Support event planning and logistics for League related events and workshops.
Contributing to research, analysis, and development activities to support the growth and professionalisation of the league
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Experience
1-2 years’ of administrative experience, ideally in a sports or fast paced environment.
Experience in handling and interpreting data (e.g., using Excel, Google Sheets or similar).
Familiarity with the operations of football leagues or sports administration is an advantage.
Experience in project management or managing operational processes
Key skills and competencies;
Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to see the “big picture”
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
A collaborative team player with a flexible and proactive approach
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office 365 suite
