Job Description - Learning Technologist

  • Location: Dublin
  • Type: Permanent
We have currently partnered with a publishing company who are looking to bring in a learning technologist into their team.
This is a new role within the company, leading the delivery of digital learning materials based on our traditionally printed resources and course materials. Reporting directly to senior management, this role will play a pivotal part in creating high-quality, learning content that meets the needs of our diverse audience. You will help come up with new and innovative ideas as well as rethinking and refining existing approaches to developing content.
Responsibilities:
  • Design online learning versions of printed course materials and research and implement a process of conversion or redevelopment for interactive, digital usage particularly in assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and subject matter experts to develop engaging and effective new learning materials and assessments using a variety of methods and project manage from concept through to delivery.
  • Research, engage and manage third party vendors to complete projects as required.
  • Ensure content is clear, concise, accurate and tailored to various learning formats. Introduce and maintain standards in terms of clarity and style.
  • Keep accessibility and reusability across platforms at front of mind during specification and development and ensure compliance with legal accessibility requirements.
  • Incorporate instructional design principles and best practices to enhance learning outcomes and user experience.
  • Work closely with designers and other team members or vendors to integrate visuals, multimedia elements, and interactive features into course materials.
  • Assist in the planning, setup and recording of video content.
  • Take responsibility for the proper file management of learning materials and ensure their timely and accurate upload to learning platform(s)
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure efficient access and delivery of learning resources.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, functionality, and alignment with learning objectives.
  • Evaluate the impact of learning programs through data analysis and feedback mechanisms, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Analyse the teaching and learning styles and needs of platform users over time in order to implement new features and improvements.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in learning and development methodologies and technologies.
About you:

 
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development or a related field.
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and delivering e-learning materials.
  • Excellent understanding of learning principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and grammar.
  • Familiarity with content management and learning management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate learning effectiveness.
