Maintenance Fabricator

The Kepak Group are looking to recruit a Maintenance Fabricator to cover our manufacturing facility in Athleague, Co. Roscommon. This is a full-time, permanent position and will be responsible for electrical fabrication function on site.

What to expect in the job?

• Fabricating ad hoc items when required
• Maintenance of the plant and equipment to optimum performance.
• Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team.
• Assist in the repair of industrial production equipment such as high-speed machines, conveyors, packaging machines, gearboxes, bearings and hydraulics.

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with the implementation of preventative maintenance programmes for all machines.
• Assist with the continuous monitoring of all machinery and equipment within the plant.
• Ensure real time repair of machines and equipment to get them back up & running within optimum time frame.

• Document all aspects of maintenance work carried out and keep management informed of potential issues.
• Adhere to company safety policies at all times.

• Must be able to Tig Weld SS pipe and Box Section .
• Must also be able to design fabricate and fit line upgrades or modifications required.
• Relevant Trade Certified Qualification.
• At least 1 year’s post qualification experience.
• Background within manufacturing/industrial business, preferably within food or packaging industries but not essential.
• IT literate and experienced in automation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, enthusiastic, hardworking and energetic.
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Be available to work Tuesday - Saturday. Day Shift Only (7am-4pm/8am-5pm)
