Hours are a Days shift: Mon- Thurs 7am to 4 pm, Fri 7am-12pm\n\nJob Purpose:\n\nReporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, the role of Maintenance Technician is to provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support to ensuring that equipment asset performance is maximised. A high maintenance standard is a must as is adherence to quality standards and safety.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Maintain Planned Preventative Maintenance through CMMS System (BMRAM)\n * Carry out the maintenance of production process equipment, to include planned preventative and unplanned maintenance tasks.\n * Carry out detailed root cause analysis on breakdowns to implement corrective repairs. Review planned preventative maintenance procedures (PM\u2019s) to improve their quality and effectiveness and manage amendments to same though the Senior Maintenance Engineer and/or CMMS admin where appropriate.\n * Provide support to the Line support team and systems to maximise equipment uptime for the Value Streams in accordance with the requirements of the business.\n * Assist the department in achievement of world class equipment uptime (M.T.T.R. and M.T.B.F. metrics) through the utilisation of downtime and OEE (Overall Equipment effectiveness) data.\n * Work with Senior Maintenance Engineer and Value Streams to identify \u0026 implement projects for permanent solutions of known recurring equipment downtime issues. Promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in line with lean thinking and Operational Equipment Excellence.\n * Participate and support the 5s + Safety program within the Value Streams \u0026 Equipment Management areas as appropriate.\n * Promote and participate in the Maintenance departments Continuous Improvement Program.\n * Reporting of work status on a timely basis to the Senior Maintenance Engineer and Value Stream team leaders as appropriate.\n * Maintain log of activities carried out on equipment i.e. actual hours works, spare parts used, equipment downtime etc using the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (BMRAM).\n * Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Company\u2019s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.\n * Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the GMP requirements.\n\n\n\nEducation \u0026 Experience:\n\n * NFQ Level 6 Higher certificate qualification in STEM, Automation Systems or or Mechatronics\n * Relevant working knowledge of an FDA regulated industry and GMP requirements.\n * Experience working in a Cleanroom environment\n * Previous experience working with a CMMS (preferably BMRAM) in a maintenance role\n * Minimum 3-5 years\u2019 experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.\n * Knowledge \u0026 Experience in OEE systems/software applications\n * Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills\n * Strong mechanical systems problem solving \u0026 repair skills\n * Experience in pneumatic fault finding and repair\n * Experience with high-speed automated manufacturing equipment\n * Experience with maintenance of Vision inspection systems\n * Experience in the operation \u0026 programming of Programmable Logic Controllers, Drives, HMI\u2019s etc.\n * Demonstrate levels of theoretical knowledge with practical application.\n * Good teamworking \u0026 communication skills\n * Good computer skills.\n\n\n\nAs a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most \u2013 united by a deep caring for human life.
