Managed Services Manager



SimoTech are looking to hire a Managed Services Manager to work from our company HQ. This
is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior leadership role, reporting to our Director of
Managed Services. The successful candidate will oversee high impact engineering services and
projects across leading pharmaceutical client sites. Candidates will ideally have 10+ years’
experience in the Life Sciences sector or similar. This role offers the opportunity to influence
service delivery at scale, collaborating cross functionally with internal teams to drive business
success. This role is suited to a commercially astute leader with deep automation or validation
expertise and a passion for delivering results in complex environments.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide oversight for the delivery of services and projects on our client sites, whilst also
    contributing from a Technical or Project Management perspective to specific key
    projects.

  • Oversee full project lifecycle delivery including:
  • Development and management of scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Setting standards to ensure high quality output.
    o Reporting against agreed performance indicators.
    o Interface with clients and resolve any concerns raised.

  •  Act as project sponsor for site projects by supporting project teams, making data -driven
    decisions, and driving continuous improvement through innovation.

  • Focus on stakeholder management across our client sites, ensuring all clients are
    engaged and supported at all times.

  • Build and sustain key relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Partner proactively with clients to develop innovative solutions to their challenges,
    shaping projects and services that deliver meaningful and lasting impact.

  • Mentorship of team members including:
    o Supporting project managers, engineers and technical leads in project execution.
    o Provide leadership, guidance and advice in own field of expertise.
    o Participate in performance evaluation & management process for site -based
    resources.
  • Drive high performance across SimoTech projects and services by disseminating
    lessons learned and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Resource management for projects and services with emphasis on building and
    maintaining skilled engineering teams.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, (HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and
    Business Development), to support organisational objectives and drive continued
    success.

  • Frequent travel to client sites for client and project meetings.








Requirements

Qualifications &
Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years project experience in Life Science manufacturing environments.
  • Technical Qualifications to 3rd level or equivalent in Engineering or Science with a focus
    towards automation and validation.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading teams or suppliers in automation project
    delivery.

  • Ability to demonstrate technical, project and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in change management best practices.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision on a variety of technologies and
    project lifecycles.

  • In depth knowledge of Process Automation (DCS, PLC and SCADA), Labs and Process
    systems.

  • Strong understanding of project finances coupled with a commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communications with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with minimal oversight, to tight timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GAMP, Safety and Environmental Regulatory requirements.
