Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead

The primary function of this position is to manage a team of Process Technicians focused on machine set up, machine maintenance & machine trouble shooting for the purpose of maintaining device quality and compliance, increasing process output, as well as reducing costs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and mentoring to team members to ensure their development and the effective completion of the activities associated with their role.


• Team Management:


• Mentoring, coaching and development of direct reports to attain best performance.


• Perform routine appraisals to deliver best results and to obtain the maximum team output.


• Manage the activities of the process technician team.


• Ensure KPI's and business metrics are achieved.


• Work with Manufacturing Engineering Manager and other Snr. Engineers to ensure the appropriate allocation of resources and prioritization of efforts for the process technician team.


• Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the effective completion of all activities.


• Ensure effective reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.


• Work closely to build effective relationships with other functions in particular Production, Quality, EHS teams, maintenance & calibration teams.


• Good communication and influencing skills


• Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role   

Skills Required:

• 3+ plus years of experience in a GMP/ other regulated environment.


• Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles.


• Demonstrated ability to deliver to personal, team and site objectives.


• Demonstrated experience managing projects/people to achieve best results


• Experience in the areas of staffing selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred

Education / Licenses / Certifications:

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical/Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or qualified trade person


• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable
